Counter Material

Ledertech has structured the different types of counter material in three product groups:

  1. The Traditional
  2. The Ecological
  3. The Thermoplastic

1. The Traditional Counter Material - GECKO

GeckoType: GK 26
Thickness: 1.0 mm – 2.5 mm
Size of sheets: 1.00 m x 1.46 m or 1.00 m x 1.44 (from 2.0 mm)

This type of material is based on a formulation for well introduced high quality leatherboard counter material. GK 26 is known in the market for many years and appreciated by the traditional counter manufacturer using leatherboard.

GK 26 is a stiff material in natural colour. We recommend this material for the moulding and sciving results. We count among our customers well known shoe brands using this material for numerous years.

Type: GK 11
Thickness: 1.0 mm – 2.5 mm
Size of sheets: 1.00 m x 1.46 m or 1.00 m x 1.44 (from 2.0 mm)

GK 11, another established product type well appreciated by the counter manufacturer of high quality, it was recently revised in order to match the latest quality requirements of our main customers. The new formulation was adopted for the improved product qualities.

This type is offered in three versions: GK 11 100 is the soft type, GK 11 200 the harder material and GK 11 300 for specific applications requiring a very stiff material. It fulfils the requirements of the SG Certificate.

2. The Ecological Counter Material - ERMES

Ermes
In order to respond to the demand of chrome-free material, we continued our efforts and created a counter material which fulfills this requirement. Our latest development in the field of counter material is our new type ERMES. ERMES is not only characterized by its ecological aspects. Important counter manufacturers confirmed to us that the working parameters in terms of moulding further improved. The acceptance of this material among our customers was very good and many of them already replaced their current material with ERMES.

Chrome FreeThis type is offered in three versions: ERMES 100 is the soft type, ERMES 200 the harder material and ERMES 300 for specific applications requiring a very stiff material. It fulfils the requirements of the SG Certificate.
